The Official Site of the Abamilo Clan

Discover the History and Origin of the Abamilo

Abamilo is one of the more than 30 clans that make the Wakerewe of Ukerewe Island in Lake Victoria, Northern Tanzania. The Abamilo ancestors are said to have arrived on Ukerewe (Bukerebe) Island on floating tiles (Amafunzyo), complete with their cattle, as they were essentially pastoralists.

The upcoming 2026 Abamilo annual meeting will be held in June 2026

STAFF BAND FESTIVAL

The staff band festival is expected to be held this year in December

TREE PLANTING CONCERT

In collaboration with Trees Are Us, we aim at planting 1,000,000 trees
